We are delighted to announce we have secured a Big Lottery grant of £372, 498 for an additional service for the adults and children we support.
The Safe & Strong service will offer a bespoke package of psychological therapy, alongside home visiting and group support, to adults and children with mental health difficulties who do not meet the threshold for statutory services, or are unable to engage.
The funding will also support additional training and development opportunities for volunteers and the creation of a new paid project worker post.
Safe & Strong is a partnership project with a group of local clinicians from The Family Psychologist, (who have delivered project work with before). Together we will be rolling out Safe & Strong over the coming five years, to ensure the package of support we offer can also include specialist psychological services to those who need it. This will build resilience in our community and enable adults and children to develop the skills to manage their own mental health in the future.
We have an existing Stakeholder Group to oversee the delivery of this project but would like to hear from anyone else who would like to join the group and shape the delivery of our exciting new work.
